Today I want to motivate you as best as I can. I know all about how jaded you can feel after hammering away on social media, trying to attract the notice of significant others. Let me just tell you that hard work does pay off eventually. So, whatever project you are hammering away at, keep going, knowing that there is light at the end of the tunnel. But hard work only really pays off if you are working smartly. I’d like to tell you that one of the best ways to get more followers on Instagram platforms is to become a follower yourself.
There are other things you can do too. Like getting really descriptive with your captions, and throwing your lot in with influencer marketing. Also, you’ll want to get used to the idea of regular editing and admin work on your profile and platform. You know what they say. A picture is worth a thousand words. It may seem like a cliché to you, but you’ll get to appreciate this more once you see the positive results a finely lit up and well prepared photograph elicits. Bright colors and good contrasts, good for Instagram and all other social media platforms, bearing in mind that no platform is the same, not even universal, and no smart device is the same either.
The captions that go with these photographs are quite important. It is here where the picture gets to tell its full story. By being as descriptive and relevant as possible, you’ll only need a few words with which to express yourself. And what works really well here is the hashtag, provided you are really clever with how you strategize with it. This will only come about from keen observance of others. I reckon you may as well get used to the idea of being an influencer. You may not have them lining up just yet.
But you sure can make a noise elsewhere. Enroll yourself actively as a follower, targeting those platforms, relevant to your work and cause, that are trending for you locally. Here is where you get to have your say. Show off what you know about a particular subject under discussion and you’ll be sure to impress the other followers. The thought will have crossed their mind but through already providing them with your hashtag signal, they’ll be able to drift over to your platform in next to no time.
And, clickety-click, you have another bunch of followers. Like I said earlier, get used to regular editing and admin work. You may have already noticed that there’s just no getting around this one. Not your fault, but you’re picking up so many irreverent, irrelevant and unwanted photos from elsewhere. You know why this is happening too, of course, and it’s a great pity that so many of these turn out to be trolls and spams. Spam is great to eat at home but it’s really a yucky sight on your platform and profile.
